Why local intent changes the build

South Devon and Torbay search differently from the rest of our patch. A far higher share of it is somebody on a phone, outdoors, deciding in the next few minutes; they want a unit, a slot, a price, and they want it near them today.

That pushes the whole build in one direction. Speed on mobile data matters more than it does anywhere else. The location has to be obvious inside a second, not buried in a footer. And the pages have to be structured so a search engine can tell exactly what you do and where you do it, because a lot of these searches never reach a second page; they get answered in the map pack or not at all.

It also changes what belongs on the page. Opening hours, access times, what fits in what, and what it costs are not detail to be tidied away; for this audience they are the entire decision.
